Pakistan exports textiles, apparel, home textiles, leather goods, sports goods, surgical instruments, rice, fruit and much more to buyers worldwide. Many of its suppliers are excellent — but some are not what they claim, and Pakistan’s mix of business structures can make verification confusing for outsiders. This guide explains how Pakistani businesses are registered, how to check them, and when to order a full Pakistan company credit report.
This matters: a perfectly genuine exporter may not appear in the SECP register at all because it is a sole proprietorship or a partnership. Verification then relies on tax registration, chamber membership and trade evidence.
Knowing the clusters helps you judge whether a supplier’s location fits its products. Faisalabad is the heart of the textile industry; Sialkot is known worldwide for sports goods, surgical instruments and leather products; Karachi, the main port city, hosts many textile, rice and general exporters; and Lahore has a broad base in textiles, leather, food and services. A “surgical instruments manufacturer” with no link to Sialkot is not necessarily suspicious — but it is worth a question.
Many of these apply worldwide — see our 15 red flags of fake companies.
Pay only into a business account held in the supplier’s legal name with a Pakistani bank, through formal banking channels. Letters of credit and documentary collections are widely used in Pakistan’s export trade and give both sides more protection than an open advance. For first orders, combine a modest deposit with the balance against shipping documents, and book an independent inspection before shipment.
Raaziq BCR is headquartered in Lahore, one of Pakistan’s major industrial and export centres. Our analysts research Pakistani companies with local knowledge of SECP and FBR records, chamber data, sector associations and trade activity, and present the findings in the same 13-section international format we use worldwide: registration and tax profile, ownership and key persons, business scope, SWOT, corporate structure, adverse-data screening, financial analysis, banking and payment behaviour, trade activity, rating and recommended credit limit. You can also view free profiles of leading Pakistani exporters on our website, and see what every report contains.
Search SECP’s online company services for companies. For sole proprietors and partnerships, which are not registered with SECP, check the National Tax Number and Active Taxpayers List status with the FBR and confirm chamber membership.
The Company Universal Identification Number is the unique number SECP assigns to each company registered in Pakistan.
Listed companies publish audited accounts. For most private companies, accounts are not readily accessible to the public, so credit reports combine available filings with other indicators such as trade activity, tax status and payment behaviour.
Raaziq BCR delivers Pakistan company reports in 1–48 hours.
